Effective date: July 10, 2026. Platform Converter is operated by Dark Fish Studios (sole proprietorship, Ontario, Canada). This policy says what we collect, why, and what we never do — in plain language, because that's how we build everything.
What we collect
- Your photos. The job photos you choose to add to the app, plus the date/time they were taken.
- Location of photos. If you allow it, the GPS position where a photo was taken. This is what sorts your photos into jobs automatically. You can deny location and the app still works.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) needed to run and secure the service.
We do not collect contacts, messages, browsing history, or anything from your phone beyond what you explicitly add.
How your photos are used
- Stored securely so you can view, organize, and export them.
- Sent to an AI writing service (currently xAI's Grok) only when you tap the Convert or Write button, to generate your post text. AI providers are not permitted to use your photos to train their models under our service configuration.
- Never sold. Never used for advertising. Never shown to anyone but you unless you share them.
Where your data lives
Photos and job data are stored with Cloudflare (R2 object storage) and our application runs on Vercel. Both are major infrastructure providers with industry-standard security. Data may be stored on servers outside Canada (typically the United States).
Your data is yours
- Export anytime: every job has a one-tap ZIP export of your original photos.
- Delete anytime: deleting a photo in the app removes it from our storage.
- Full account deletion: email us and everything you've stored is permanently deleted within 30 days.
What we share
Nothing, except: (1) the AI provider processing described above when you request writing; (2) service providers that host the infrastructure (Cloudflare, Vercel); (3) if the law makes us. That's the whole list. We do not sell or rent personal information — to anyone, ever.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe or by the app store you purchased through (Google Play / Apple). We never see or store your card number.
Children
Platform Converter is a business tool for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect.
Governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Personal information is handled in accordance with PIPEDA (Canada's federal privacy law).
